The first Woodturning Demo for 2018 will be on Saturday 3 February, 9 am to midday. The demo will be presented by retiring President Rob McKee, and the topic is “Table Lamps with a Twist”.
Come and learn some new woodturning techniques from a professional.
Entry fee of $5 includes morning tea.
The first Woodturning Discussion Forum for 2018 will be held next
Saturday, 20 January, 9 am to midday.
Topics include the program for the rest of the year.
Show & Tell segment featuring non-turned woodcraft items that members have created in recent months.
Come along with suggestions for future meetings and bring along a piece of your own woodcraft to share with others.
Or maybe a project that is in the design stage that you would like to get some technical advice from other woodcrafters.
The Show & Tell topic corresponds to Category J in the Annual Competition coming up in June (closing date for entry forms is 29 May). It includes all non-turned woodcraft items such as woodcarving, small furniture items, boxes, picture frames, chopping boards, etc.
